The short version

Scanning a contract requires a free account, used only to enforce the one-free-scan limit and manage Pro subscriptions. The contract text itself is a separate matter: it is processed entirely on your device using JavaScript and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party, on the free plan or Pro. We have no way to see, store, or recover the contract you scanned — account or not.

What we don't collect — ever, on any plan

• Contract text you paste or upload — this stays in your browser and is discarded when you close or reload the page. It is never part of any request our servers receive.
• Uploaded files are read locally by your browser and are never uploaded to a server.

What account data is collected

Creating an account requires only your email address — no password, no name, no other personal details. We use it to:

• Send you a one-time sign-in link (via our email provider, Resend).
• Track whether your account's one free scan has been used.
• Manage your Pro subscription, if you have one, via our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles billing directly.

We do not sell or share your email with anyone, and we do not use it for marketing.

What else is collected

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic technical information for security and performance purposes, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use this data to identify individuals or track contract content, because contract content never reaches our servers.

Advertising & cookies

This site is monetized through Google AdSense, including Google's Auto ads feature, which automatically selects ad formats and placements on our pages. We do not set any first-party tracking or analytics cookies ourselves.

Google and its advertising partners (including Google's DoubleClick/Google Ads technology) may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads, personalize ad content, and measure ad performance based on your visits to this and other websites. You can review or change your ad personalization settings at Google's Ad Settings, opt out of personalized advertising generally at aboutads.info/choices, or block third-party cookies entirely through your browser's privacy settings.
